What: Rally to support the Denver Vision Zero Coalition’s “Safe Speeds for Denver” Campaign
Where: Denver City and County Building steps
When: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 14, 2017

Join the Denver Vision Zero Coalition this Valentine’s Day for a rally in support of Safe Speeds for Denver. High speed traffic kills. High speed traffic makes our streets less pleasant for people walking and biking. The Denver Vision Zero Coalition is therefore calling upon the City and County of Denver to address the inherent dangers of unsafe speeds and make our streets safer for everyone.

The Vision Zero Love-In will be a truly multi-modal event, with bicyclists, pedestrians, and transit riders meeting at various locations and traveling together (along a different route for each mode) to the steps of the City and County building. The rally will culminate with the delivery to Mayor Hancock of hand-signed Valentine’s from Denver residents declaring their love for safe streets and support for the Safe Speeds for Denver campaign. Residents who are unable to attend the rally can sign the online petition.

The rally will demonstrate to the Mayor, City Council, and City Department Heads that Denver residents want streets that are safe for all people, particularly the most vulnerable users traveling on foot or by bike. No one should have to die, simply trying to get around the city.
