Transit-Oriented Communities Walk – October 2016

Date: Sat, October 22, 2016
Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00PM
Location: 38th & Blake Station

Join Transit Alliance and WalkDenver for a transit-oriented communities walk on October 22! Learn about the intersection of walking and transit from WalkDenver Board Member John Hayden and Transit Alliance Program Manager Jamie Perkins.

This walk will explore the LoDo / Ball Park and RiNo neighborhoods after the opening of the new line to DIA. Starting from the RiNo Station at 38th and Blake we will look at the land use / transportation and development planned around the station.

Walking through the RiNo Neighborhood we will view what is becoming an explosion of development and discuss the role of walking and multi-modal transportation in creating and sustaining this changing neighborhood.

Then it’s through the Ball Park to see the sites of proposed new Festival Streets and finally ending at the hub of Union Station where we can have a drink before riding the train back to our starting point at 38th and Blake.
